ANGEL Course Copying
Some of you are already aware of a course copy issue that was flagging courses for deletion within Angel. I wanted to update you on this and ask that you go ahead and try the course copy now as it looks like it has been fixed.
If you do run into any problems please contact Presidium Support (866-425-8412) and alert your eLearning office as well.
Update: WAOL ANGEL access issues
Issues accessing ANGEL accounts and courses have been addressed and faculty are now able to login again through http://angel.waol.org.
Important WAOL ANGEL Issues Post 7.4 Upgrade
After WAOL ANGEL was upgraded to 7.4 on Wednesday, some users can no longer log into WAOL ANGEL from http://angel.waol.org. We are working to fix this. In the meantime, users can only log in by using their college domain.
We’ll let you know when this has been fixed.
We are also seeing domain bleeds, and we are working on those, too. Please wait to post announcements until we get that fixed. If you do, your announcements will show up at every college.
We believe the missing classrooms, course copy issues and the access errors are related to domain structure as well.
eLearning Coordinators, please continue to check the ANGEL ticket system to see if someone has already put in a ticket for any error messages you get.
Important: WAOL Course Content Information
Faculty teaching on Washington Online Angel who have been using Washington Online ID numbers (Intent-to-teach forms) to create their courses:
Please use a master classroom to populate the content of the courses you teach from. If you do not have a master classroom and need one please contact Monique at mkovalenko@sbctc.edu
We do not want anyone to lose content so please realize that we will no longer be leaving courses on the server for one year. Please move your content into the Learning Object Repository and/or the Master classroom.
We will only be keeping one quarter’s worth of classrooms for one quarter past its end date. Only Summer quarter will be left on the server for one year.
We will be removing the old classrooms on the schedule below and highly recommend you also save a copy of your old classrooms.
Courses being removed by the end of the month:
Fall 2008
Spring 2009
Courses being removed by January 29:
Winter 2009
ELC, not seeing a WAOL instructor account?
It is worth re-mentioning that new faculty WAOL accounts remain inactive until the faculty login to waol.org with their ANGEL login credentials; this initial login activates the new account.
And remember, brand new faculty (with no accounts at all) get their accounts by using the Account Self-Registration tool.

WAOL & SBCTC Email Downtime Last Weekend
Last Friday (December 11th), the State board’s email system was down. This Monday our service was back up but in the process some of last week’s email was lost. If you were expecting to hear back from us or had trouble contacting us by email during that time it’s likely we lost the communication.
We apologize. Please feel free to resend us anything you think we may have missed.
