New ANGEL Custom “Log On Instructions” Nugget
Audience: College eLearning Coordinators using WAOL ANGEL
What: Our programmers have been busy making some very nice improvements for us. We now have a new nugget for the login page that is 100% customizable; each domain can decide to turn the nugget on or off, edit the content or not.
How: Please take a look at this .pdf and follow the instructions as needed.
New WAOL ANGEL nugget
Audience: Faculty who use WAOL ITT processes
What: This nugget will allow faculty direct access to their MyWAOL accounts without leaving ANGEL; it is ONLY for faculty who need to complete an Intent-to-teach form (ITT) or use other features inside of their Mywaol account.
This nugget is only available to faculty level accounts in Angel. Here is a document with instructions for adding the nugget to your ANGEL homepage or you can access a video tutorial here.
Summer ITT Deadline – WAOL Shared Courses ONLY
Audience: eLearning coordinators and faculty teaching WAOL ***shared*** courses
Notice: The deadline for approved Intent to Teach forms for faculty who plan on teaching any WAOL system-owned shared course summer quarter is next Thursday, June 3rd.
A few points:
- We will start assigning the WAOL shared course sections based on seniority and approved ITT forms on Friday, June 4th.
- If we do not get the ITT’s for WAOL system-owned shared courses submitted and approved by the deadline then those instructors will go to the bottom of the list of instructors teaching spring quarter.
Instructions on how to submit Intent to Teach forms here: http://waol.org/faculty_and_staff/ittFacultyForm.aspx
Support Line Issues
The WAOL Help Desk toll-free number 866-425-8412 was out of order briefly this morning; however, the problem has been corrected. Please call 888-580-9011 if you have problems connecting with the Help Desk number.
Secure Logon Only on WAOL ANGEL starting Wednesday, May 19
Audience: All WAOL ANGEL Users
Action: As discussed in the WAOL Advisory Group meeting this Monday, the old standard (unsecure) logon to WAOL ANGEL will be disabled (and will no longer appear on the ANGEL page) starting on Wednesday, May 19.
All users will have one choice—the Secure Log On.
We have had no documented issues with the Secure Log On since February 25, so we think it is good for all users.
However, if any of your users have trouble using the Secure Log On, please try to replicate the problem first. If you can replicate the problem, then send us information on the user, the user’s browser, etc.
