Winter ITT Deadline – WAOL Shared Courses ONLY
Audience: eLearning coordinators and faculty teaching WAOL ***shared*** courses
Notice: The deadline for approved Intent to Teach forms for faculty who plan on teaching any WAOL system-owned shared course summer quarter is Thursday, December 9th.
A few points:
- We will start assigning the WAOL shared course sections based on seniority and approved ITT forms on Friday, December 10th.
- If we do not get the ITT’s for WAOL system-owned shared courses submitted and approved by the deadline then those instructors will go to the bottom of the list of instructors teaching spring quarter.

Practice using Elluminate, Wednesday, December 1st
Audience: Faculty and Staff interested in Elluminate practice
When: Wednesday, Dec 1, Noon – 1 PM
Facilitated by Larry Cheng, Shoreline Community College
Elluminate is a live web conferencing tool available to all faculty and staff members within the community and technical college system. Come practice with colleagues in a casual setting.

Notice of ANGEL Hosting Emergency Maintenance
Audience: All WAOL ANGEL Users
Please note: ANGEL Hosting will be doing some emergency maintenance tomorrow morning, Friday, October 8th, between 1:00 and 2:30 am PST. They DO NOT expect downtime; however, if ANGEL users see any related problems during that time, this maintenance might be the cause.
Shared Courses: Book Order Deadline, Mon. Oct 4th
Audience: WAOL Instructors teaching SHARED courses
Notice: Deadline for submitting your Winter book order has been moved to Monday, October 4th!
Please use Internet Explorer when updating your texts as we’ve noticed Firefox seems to default to “no books required”.
Lead instructors for System-Owned Shared Courses:
- Please take a moment to confirm that your texts for Winter are updated and correct. Also note that the book order tool is now open to take submissions through Summer 2011, if you like.
- Please let me know ASAP if you are changing your texts so I can pass that information along to other instructors teaching your course.
- Click on this link for steps to entering your Book Order
- If you do not go in and update the Winter book order then I will assume there are no changes and the books that were used for Fall quarter will be ordered for Winter quarter. If your course is not being offered this quarter then please disregard this request.
All other instructors:
Please check the book order report to be sure you are offering the most current texts.

Winter 2011 Intent to Teach Forms Now Available
Audience: ELC & WAOL Instructors
Please share: For those colleges using WAOL ID Integration and those who have instructors teaching WAOL shared or private courses the Intent to Teach (ITT) forms are now available for Winter quarter.
Please note: Students cannot register for WAOL courses until the ITT forms have been submitted and approved.
Important dates: WAOL Winter enrollment opens on Wednesday, October 20th.

Service Pack 8 to be applied to WAOL ANGEL
Audience: All WAOL ANGEL users
Notice: ANGEL 7.4 Service Pack 8 to be applied to WAOL ANGEL Friday, Sept 10, during regular maintenance time 2:00 to 5:00 am PST
ANGEL Restored
We had a brief interruption with ANGEL today, Tuesday September 7th around 2:30pm. ANGEL has now been restored again (3:17pm) and is working back at 100%. ANGEL will be monitoring the system for the next 48 hours.
ANGEL Interruption 9/7/10 – 2:20pm
There has been a temporary interruption with ANGEL and a ticket has already been submitted so the problem is being worked on.
