Where: Mark Carbon’s Bb Collaborate room.
Here is some information about D2L and what Tony Benjamins will be covering:
At Desire2Learn, we realize that course migration is one of the biggest concerns of an institution that is selecting a new eLearning Platform. Desire2Learn’s course migration processes help clients migrate tens of thousands of courses each year. Even complex migrations, like that of the Pennsylvania State Higher Education System which had courses in three different learning management systems, can be accomplished with Desire2Learn. Through our bulk course import utility, thousands of courses at a time can be migrated into Desire2Learn. This tool is provided to our clients at no cost.
Our Course Package Converter enables client migrations from ANGEL to Desire2Learn. Clients with ANGEL installations, or other institutions using ANGEL can easily move to Desire2Learn while maintaining as much of the original courses’ materials and structure as possible.
The offline converter processes Content, Grades, Quizzes, Dropbox, Discussions, and News from ANGEL exports into a Desire2Learn import package, which you can import into Desire2Learn Learning Environment using web import or Bulk Course Create. The conversion process can process multiple source packages in one run as well, making it possible to do bulk conversions, saving administrators time and effort.
