The WAOL.org website will be offline for maintenance Tuesday (tomorrow) evening from roughly 7:00pm to 7:30pm.

Grades due today for all WAOL SHARED Courses

Summer WAOL grades for ALL shared courses are due today by midnight in order to ensure student’s grades are forwarded to their enrolling colleges. Student access to their ANGEL summer classrooms will be turned off on Wednesday, August 25th.

WAOL Web Grading –

Grades are collected from instructor rosters in their “MyWAOL” EID accounts, and you must now have that nugget added to your ANGEL homepage to be able to access your account. If you have not yet added this link to your ANGEL homepage please do so right away. You can find instructions on doing this in this blog post: http://blog.waol.org/2010/08/12/1071/

WAOL Web Grading will be used rather than Instructor Briefcase to assign grades to students enrolled in any waol shared courses. Grades may be entered up until midnight after which WAOL Web Grading will be turned off.

WAOL System-owned Shared Course ITT Deadline – Thursday, August 26th

The deadline for approved Intent to Teach forms for faculty who plan on teaching any WAOL system-owned shared course fall quarter is next Thursday, August 26th. So instructors who have not yet sent in an ITT and planned on teaching a system-owned shared course for fall 2010 must have those in and approved by your ELC no later than next Thursday. I will start assigning the WAOL shared course sections based on seniority and approved ITT forms on Friday, August 27th.

Please remember that if you do not get your ITT submitted and approved by the deadline that your name will go to the bottom of the list of instructors teaching fall quarter.

Summer WAOL grades for ALL shared courses are due the following Monday, August 23rd by midnight in order to ensure student’s grades are forwarded to their enrolling colleges. Faculty have access to the WAOL nugget only through WAOL ANGEL. If you have not yet added this nugget to your ANGEL account please be sure to do so.

You must have the nugget added to your ANGEL homepage so you can submit ITT forms and to access your WAOL student rosters for reporting summer grades for shared courses. Summer quarter ends next Wednesday, August 18th and shared grades are due the following Monday, August 23rd.

Once logged in to ANGEL, you must add the MyWAOL nugget by editing your ANGEL desktop. Attached are step-by-step instructions on how to do that.

Fix for missed drops in SMS-ANGEL Integration

Audience: ANGEL administrators using SMS-ANGEL Integration

A fix was posted 7-7-2010 which addresses the missed drop problem. Previously, some drops in merged ANGEL sections were not being processed and remained on the ANGEL rosters.

This fix has run against all schools for Summer quarter as of 2:00pm 7-7-2010, so your rosters should be all ‘clean’ and up-to-date. As usual, if you do still find a missed drop, please notify WAOL staff.

WAOL Shared SU10 Enrollment Closes Today 6-24

Today, Thursday June 24th is the first day of instruction for all WAOL shared summer 2010 courses. Registration will be open for shared courses up until the end of business today. All college-owned private courses will be left open all quarter, so colleges can control the enrollment dates for those courses.

Elluminate Updating Rooms to V.10

Time: Sunday morning, June 27, 2010 @12:30 am

Elluminate upgraded our license to v. 10 last Saturday (6/19).
After the upgrade, each existing session could stay on v. 9.7 or be upgraded. The task of upgrading each existing session could be done by the user or by the college administrator. However, with approval from the WAOL Advisory Group, we asked Elluminate to upgrade all existing sessions in a bulk process for us, and they will do that next Sunday morning.

Note that a version 10 session might take an extra few minutes to download the first time you log in to version 10.
